La Petite Cuisine

La Petite Cuisine is a cooking school for children ages 3-6. Students will learn the fundamentals of cooking and food literacy as they create a variety of recipes that are healthy, delicious and fun to prepare.

The classes incorporate lessons on safety, cleanliness and multi-cultural awareness, and even help the students work on basic math, language skills, motor development and refinement, self-esteem, organizational skills and creative/artistic skills!

Some of the food prepared in past classes include: breads, sandwiches, soups, salads, flatbread pizzas and fresh lemonade.

At La Petite Cuisine we use child-size equipment, the students learn to pour, stir, spread, use a whisk, a grater and juicer. The majority of ingredients used for the recipes are all natural or organic. We Integrate songs and stories relevant to that day's recipe to help stimulate student interest.
